Transfer of 8 senior police officials

Eight senior police officials have been transferred ahead of the national parliament election. The transfers were made through a notification signed by Mahbubur Rahman, Deputy Secretary of Police Division-1 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, on Thursday, February 5.

The officials who received transfer orders are: Additional DIG of Police Headquarters M A Jalil transferred to the office of DIG, Dhaka Range; Additional DIG of Police's Special Branch (SB) Md. Saifuzzaman Faruqi transferred to the office of DIG, Dhaka Range; Additional DIG from the office of DIG, Khulna Range, Mohammad Belayet Hossain transferred as Additional Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP).

Additionally, Additional Police Superintendent of Sarada, Rajshahi, currently Supernumerary Police Superintendent (SP) Saheb Ali Pathan transferred as Deputy Commissioner (DC) of GMP; Additional DIG of Sarada, Rajshahi, Mohammad Jaberur Rahman transferred to CID; S M Ashrafulzzaman transferred as Additional DIG of Industrial Police; Additional DIG attached to the office of DIG, Rajshahi Range, Md. Rashidul Hasan attached to Rangpur PTC; and the transfer order of Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and currently supernumerary Additional DIG Mohammad Rabiul Hossain Bhuiyan of the Anti-Terrorism Unit has been cancelled.
