Truck carrying gas cylinders overturns, explodes in Brahmanbaria

A truck loaded with more than 200 gas cylinders exploded after overturned on the Cumilla-Sylhet highway this morning.

The incident took place around 4:30am on Wednesday (June 4) in Birasar area of ​​the Brahmanbaria city bypass.

Following the due to the exploision, a massive fire broke out on the spot.

Md Mozaffar Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station, confirmed this.

"The truck overturned due to the poor road conditions, causing each cylinder to explode and shoot upward," he said.

"However, no casualties have been reported yet," he added.
