Two bodies recovered from separate places in Shahbagh

Police have recovered the bodies of two persons from two separate places in the Shahbagh area of the capital. Their ages are approximately 65 and 45 years. However, their identities have not yet been ascertained.

Shahbagh thana police recovered the two bodies from the footpath in front of the main gate of the National Eidgah and from Kadam Foyara intersection around 12pm on Saturday (September 12). Later the two bodies were sent to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.

Sub-Inspector of Shahbagh police station Taufiq Hasan confirming the matter informed that getting the news from people the two bodies were recovered from the footpath adjoining the Supreme Court and beside the National Eidgah. Later those were sent to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.

This police officer informed that talking to the locals it was learnt that the two persons were of vagrant nature. Police are initially assuming that they may have died due to illness.

However, the exact cause of death will be known after the post-mortem. At the same time the forensic team of the Criminal Investigation Department of police has been informed for ascertaining their identities.
