Two killed in Bogura motorcycle accident

Two people have been killed in a motorcycle accident in Shajahanpur upazila of Bogura. The deceased were identified as Ashikur Rahman (22) and Mujahidul Islam Samiul (30). The accident occurred around 3am on Monday on the Lichutala-Matidali second bypass road in the Nishchintapur Charmatha area of the upazila.

Ashikur Rahman was the son of Shahidul Islam of Holidabaga village in Jorgachha union of Sonatla upazila. He was a student. Mujahidul Islam Samiul was the son of Sirajul Islam of Swardhankuti area in Gabtali upazila. He was a businessman.

Shajahanpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ashik Iqbal said locals informed police after seeing the bodies of the two lying on the middle of the highway in the Nishchintapur Charmatha area. Later, police went to the spot and recovered the bodies.

He said it could not be confirmed immediately whether they were killed after being hit by a vehicle or the motorcycle lost control and met with the accident. The matter is being investigated.
