Two killed in truck collision in Bogura

Two people were killed when a stone-laden truck hit the rear of a stationary potato-laden truck in Shibganj upazila of Bogura. The accident took place around 6:30am on Saturday (September 20) at Pakurtola on the Rangpur–Bogura highway.

The deceased were identified as Minhaz Uddin,35, driver of the stone-laden truck and son of Ali Hossain from Patalkandi village in Bhuapur upazila of Tangail, and his helper Abdur Rashid from the same area.

According to locals, Abdur Rashid was rescued in an injured state and admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura, where he later died while undergoing treatment.

Confirming the incident, Shibganj Police Station OC Shahinur Rahman said the accident occurred when the stone-laden truck rammed into the rear of the stationary potato-laden truck.
