Two men were shot and hacked to death in broad daylight outside the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court in Khulna. The incident took place around 12:30pm on Sunday (November 30), confirmed Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Khulna Sadar Police Station. According to Khulna Sadar police, the victims—Rajon, 28 and Hasib, 29 from Rupsha Bagmara—had appeared in court for an arms-related case. As they exited the court, several assailants opened fire and attacked them with machetes before fleeing the scene. The victims were rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where doctors on duty pronounced them dead. Police and intelligence officials visited the scene to investigate. Lawyers expressed deep concern over the brazen public killing.

খুলনায় আদালতের সামনে প্রকাশ্যে দুইজনকে গুলি করে ও কুপিয়ে হত্যা করে পালিয়েছে দুর্বৃত্তরা। রোববার (৩০ নভেম্বর) বেলা সাড়ে ১২টার দিকে চিফ জুডিশিয়াল ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট আদালতের সামনে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন খুলনা সদর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) শফিকুল ইসলাম। প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা জানান, মহানগর ও দায়রা জজ আদালতে একটি অস্ত্র মামলায় হাজিরা দিতে আসেন রূপসার বাগমারা এলাকার রাজন (২৮) ও হাসিব (২৯)। হাজিরা শেষে বের হয়ে যাওয়ার সময় বেশ কয়েকজন তাদের ওপর গুলি চালায় ও চাপাতি দিয়ে কুপিয়ে যখম করে পালিয়ে যায়। তাদের উদ্ধার করে খুলনা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়। হাসপাতালে পৌঁছানোর পর কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসকরা তাদের মৃত বলে ঘোষণা করেন। ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করেছেন পুলিশসহ বিভিন্ন গোয়েন্দা সংস্থার কর্মকর্তারা। এ ঘটনার কারণে পুরো আদালত চত্বরে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে আতঙ্ক। প্রকাশ্যে হত্যাকাণ্ডের ঘটনায় উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেছেন আদালতের আইনজীবীরা।
