Two schoolchildren among 3 killed in Pabna road crash

Three people, including two school students, were killed and two others injured after a truck overturned on a van in Pabna Sadar upazila on Sunday morning (October 26).

The accident took place around 7:30am at Bangabaria area on the Dhaka–Pabna highway.

The deceased were identified as Tasmiya Akter, a fourth-grader, Abu Toha, a fifth-grader of Pabna Collegiate School and College, and van driver Akram Hossain.

Police said a bamboo-laden truck lost control while giving way to another vehicle and overturned on the school van.
Two injured persons were taken to Pabna General Hospital.

Madhupur Highway Police OC Mostafizur Rahman said the bodies were recovered, the injured hospitalised, and the truck seized for legal action.
