Two shooter guns, 7 rounds of ammunition recovered in Ishwardi

Police have recovered two one-shooter guns and seven rounds of ammunition from a garbage heap in Ishwardi. The weapons and ammunition were recovered following an operation based on secret information.

The operation was conducted around 12:30 pm on Saturday in the Pakshi Bazar area of the upazila.

Pakshi Police Outpost Sub-Inspector Monirul Islam confirmed the matter. He said police conducted an operation based on secret information that weapons were hidden in a garbage heap by the roadside east of the Jame Mosque in Pakshi Bazarpara area. After searching the garbage heap, two one-shooter guns and seven rounds of ammunition were recovered. However, no individual was found at the scene.

He further said the recovered shooter guns and ammunition will be handed over to Ishwardi Police Station for necessary legal action. Police are working to identify who left these weapons and ammunition in the garbage heap.
