Two students killed in road accident after HSC exam
Two students were killed in a road accident while returning home on a motorcycle after appearing for their HSC examination in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi.
The accident took place in the Bajnab area of the Itakhola-Mathkhola regional road in the upazila, following a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a pickup van carrying chickens on Saturday afternoon (18 July).
The deceased were identified as Swadhin, 19, a resident of the Puranpara area under Baduarchar in Narsingdi Sadar upazila, and Nafiz from Hajipur village. Both of them were students of Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan College in Shibpur.
According to police and family members, they had their HSC examination in the Marketing subject on Saturday morning. They were returning home on a motorcycle after completing their exam at the Shaheed Asad Collegiate Girls' High School and College center.
On their way back, the motorcycle collided head-on with a Shibpur-bound pickup van carrying chickens. As a result, both of them were thrown off the motorcycle onto the road and died on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibpur Police Station, Mohammad Kohinoor Miah, stated that both bodies have been brought to the police station. Legal action is being taken in connection with this incident.
