Two unexploded cocktails recovered from BNP office in Satkhira

Police recovered two unexploded crude bombs, locally known as cocktails, from a BNP office in Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira following an alleged attack on Saturday night (August 15).

The incident took place around midnight at the BNP office of Bharashimla union.

Local BNP leaders said two bomb-like objects were detonated targeting the office, causing panic among residents in the area. No casualties were reported.

Police later arrived at the scene and recovered two unexploded cocktails.

Md Shahidul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kaliganj Police Station, said, "The authorities were investigating the motive behind the incident and identifying those responsible."

Local BNP leaders also visited the scene following the incident.
