United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Wednesday met Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus in the Swiss city of Davos. Guterres and Yunus exchanged pleasantries during the meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum's (WEF) annual conference. The chief adviser also briefly conversed with European Central Bank chief Christine Lagarde on the sidelines of the WEF meeting. Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has invited the chief adviser to attend the World Governments Summit 2025 which will be held in Dubai in February. Yunus has also been requested to take three young advisers of the interim government to accompany him during the summit so that they can share with the global audience how they led the July uprising against the government led by Sheikh Hasina.

বাংলাদেশের অন্তর্বর্তী সরকারের প্রধান উপদেষ্টা অধ্যাপক ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস সুইজারল্যান্ডের দাভোসে জাতিসংঘের মহাসচিব আন্তোনিও গুতেরেসের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করেছেন। বুধবার (২২ জানুয়ারি) সুইজারল্যান্ডের দাভোসে এই সাক্ষাৎ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। ওয়ার্ল্ড ইকোনমিক ফোরামের সম্মেলনের ফাঁকে অনুষ্ঠিত এই বৈঠকে তারা একে অপরের সঙ্গে পারস্পরিক শুভেচ্ছা ও কুশলাদি বিনিময় করেন। এর আগে বিশ্ব অর্থনৈতিক ফোরামের (ডব্লিউইএফ) বার্ষিক বৈঠকে যোগ দিতে চার দিনের সরকারি সফরে সুইজারল্যান্ড যান অন্তর্বর্তী সরকারের প্রধান উপদেষ্টা অধ্যাপক ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস। অধ্যাপক ইউনূস ও তার সফরসঙ্গীদের বহনকারী এমিরেটস এয়ারলাইন্সের একটি ফ্লাইট সোমবার দিনগত রাত ১টায় হযরত শাহজালাল আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দর ত্যাগ করে।
