The interim government led by Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has the full support of the United Nations, says UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. The UN chief made the statement during a meeting with Yunus at the UN headquarters in New York on Thursday. According to the Chief Advisor’s Press Wing, the UN is ready to provide support for reforms in Bangladesh. Guterres said the UN Resident Team in Bangladesh is eager to help and that the recently adopted UN ‘Pact of the Future’ is very relevant for the country, with its incentive financing being particularly helpful.

মুহাম্মদ ইউনূসের নেতৃত্বাধীন বাংলাদেশের অন্তবর্তীকালীন সরকারের প্রতি পূর্ণ সমর্থন জানিয়ে বাংলাদেশের সংস্কারে সহায়তা করতে প্রস্তুত জাতিসংঘ। নিউ ইয়র্কে বৃহস্পতিবার জাতিসংঘ সদর দপ্তরে মুহাম্মদ ইউনূসের সঙ্গে বৈঠকে জাতিসংঘ মহাসচিব অ্যান্তোনিও গুতেরেস এই সমর্থন ব্যক্ত করেন। প্রধান উপদেষ্টার প্রেস উইং জানিয়েছে, ইউনূস সরকারকে বিশ্ব সংস্থার আবাসিক টিম সহায়তা করতে চায়। মহাসচিব গুতেরেস বলেন, “সদ্য গৃহীত জাতিসংঘের ‘প্যাক্ট অব দ্য ফিউচার’ বাংলাদেশের জন্য অত্যন্ত প্রাসঙ্গিক এবং এর প্রণোদনামূলক অর্থায়ন দেশটির জন্য বিশেষ সহায়ক হবে।”
