Unauthorised Hajj permits, visa may lead to legal trouble: Religious Ministry
Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged pilgrims to obtain Hajj permits and visas only through approved channels, warning that violations of Saudi regulations could lead to legal complications.
In a statement issued on Friday (May 8), the ministry cited directives from Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, stressing that Hajj can only be performed with valid Hajj visas issued through authorised processes.
The ministry said Saudi authorities have made it clear that all pilgrims must follow official procedures for obtaining permits after arrival in the Kingdom, in order to ensure orderly management of Hajj operations, crowd control, and service coordination at holy sites.
It also warned against unauthorized intermediaries and fraudulent visa arrangements, saying such practices may disrupt pilgrims’ religious obligations and expose them to legal penalties.
According to the statement, compliance with official procedures ensures access to coordinated services, improved safety, and a smooth and structured Hajj experience.
Authorities have reiterated that only government-approved channels should be used for all Hajj-related documentation and travel arrangements.
