The National Pension Authority has decided to distribute investment profits to subscribers of the universal pension schemes for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Returns on investments this year ranged from a minimum of 11.68 percent to a maximum of 11.72 percent.

The information was given in a press release from the National Pension Authority on Monday (October 19). It said the schemes earned a total profit of Tk 28,96,55,048.80 (Tk 28 crore 96 lakh 55 thousand 48 and 80 paisa) on invested funds in the 2025-2026 fiscal year. The proposal to distribute the profit among subscribers was approved at the fourth meeting of the authority's board of directors.

Under the law and rules, the board unanimously decided to add the profit earned to each subscriber's individual pension account (corpus account), based on the amount and duration of their deposits.

Dr Md Suratuzzaman, executive chairman of the National Pension Authority, said the authority is working with sincerity and transparency to strengthen public trust in the universal pension system and to ensure maximum security and reasonable returns on subscribers' deposits. He said subscribers of the schemes would benefit directly from the distribution of profits and that operations would become more dynamic.

The release also said the calculated profits have been added to the pension accounts of the subscribers concerned.
