The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to conduct a DNA test on Nachole Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Kamal Hossain over allegations of securing a BCS cadre post through false claims under the freedom fighter quota.

ACC Director General Akhtar Hossain confirmed the decision on Tuesday (November 4), saying the UNO allegedly used his uncle, freedom fighter Ahsan Habib, as his father to avail quota benefits.

According to case records, Kamal Hossain replaced the names of his biological parents, Abul Kashem and Habia Khatun, with those of his uncle and aunt during the 35th BCS exam.

Investigations found he obtained university admission, government employment, and other benefits using the false identity.

The ACC will conduct DNA tests on Kamal Hossain, his parents, and his uncle and aunt, pending court approval.
