US delegation to arrive in Dhaka to implement trade agreement
A high-level US trade delegation is set to arrive in Dhaka to further strengthen trade and investment ties between the United States and Bangladesh. The delegation will be led by Brendan Lynch, Assistant US Trade Representative for South and Central Asia.
The US embassy in Dhaka confirmed the information in a media note on Monday, May 4.
According to the statement, the delegation, led by Lynch, will visit Dhaka from May 5 to May 7 to discuss ways to strengthen trade and investment relations with Bangladesh.
The US expects a partnership in implementing the US-Bangladesh bilateral trade agreement. The agreement will facilitate greater market access for goods from both countries, remove investment barriers, and accelerate economic growth through increased commercial opportunities, the embassy said.
The US embassy also noted that the visit would play a significant role in elevating bilateral economic relations to new heights.
