US delegation to go to Pakistan for talks with Iran: Trump
US President Donald Trump has announced that a US delegation will travel to Pakistan on Monday, April 20, to participate in the second round of talks with Iran. Trump shared the information in a post on his social media platform Truth Social on Sunday, April 19.
However, Trump did not specify who from the US side would take part in the upcoming meeting in Islamabad.
The first round of talks was led by US Vice President JD Vance.
Al Jazeera reported that no immediate comment on the second round of talks was available from the White House or the Vice President's office.
In the same post, Trump alleged that Iran violated the ceasefire by opening fire in the Strait of Hormuz yesterday.
He warned that if Iran does not accept the US-proposed deal, the country's civilian infrastructure will be destroyed.
Trump wrote, "If they (Iran) don't do it, the US will demolish every power plant and every bridge in Iran."
