US embassy concludes ‘The Art of the Deal’ leadership, negotiation training in Dhaka
The United States Embassy in Dhaka has concluded a four-day training program titled “The Art of the Deal: American Excellence in Negotiation Skills,” aimed at enhancing leadership, communication and negotiation capabilities among Bangladeshi youth.
The closing ceremony was held on Sunday (June 7) at Hotel Six Seasons in the capital, with US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen attending as the chief guest.
According to a press release issued by the embassy, the training was conducted with support from US English Language Specialist Joan Munisteri and brought together 60 alumni of the Access English Programme from Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet.
During the four-day workshop, participants received intensive training on negotiation strategies, leadership development and effective communication. The curriculum incorporated key principles from The Art of the Deal alongside American approaches to negotiation, decision-making and leadership.
Addressing the closing session, Ambassador Christensen congratulated the participants and encouraged them to apply the skills acquired through the program in their academic, professional and leadership pursuits.
Organisers said the initiative reflects the US Embassy’s continued commitment to empowering young Bangladeshis through skill development, leadership training and educational exchange opportunities.
They added that similar programmes will continue in the future to help foster globally competitive leadership among the country’s youth.
