US Embassy congratulates BNP and Tarique Rahman

The United States Embassy in Dhaka has congratulated the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its acting chairman Tarique Rahman for winning a large number of seats in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

The congratulatory message was posted on the verified Facebook page of the US Embassy in Dhaka at 7:48 am on Friday (February 13).

In the Facebook post, the embassy said, “Congratulations to the people of Bangladesh for organizing a successful election. Congratulations to the BNP and Tarique Rahman on their historic victory.”

The post further added, “The United States looks forward to working with you to advance our shared goals of prosperity and security for both our nations.”
