Various issues to be discussed during BGB-BSF DG-level meeting: Home Adviser
The upcoming BGB-BSF Director General-level meeting in New Delhi will discuss various issues including stopping killings on the border, said Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.

He briefed reporters after a meeting on the border issues of the two countries ahead of the BGB-BSF Director General-level meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday (January 29).
The Home Affairs Adviser said that the BGB-BSF Director General-level meeting will give utmost importance to restoring trust between India and Bangladesh.
He also said that various issues including stopping killings on the border, ensuring that barbed wire fences or any construction work within 150 yards of the border line is carried out in accordance with the rules, and not publishing false news about Bangladesh in the Indian media will be discussed.
The unequal agreements with India will be reviewed, the adviser added.
In addition, proposals will be made to withdraw water from the Abhinna River and stop the management of waste coming from India to the Feni region of Bangladesh, said Jahangir Alam.
