Veteran journalist freedom fighter Rukunuddaullah no more

Veteran journalist and special correspondent of Jeshore office of the daily Sangbad, freedom fighter Rukunuddaullah has passed away.

He was the editor of the fortnightly Jeshore Kagoj, published from Jeshore.

Foctors declared him dead when he was taken from his house to Jeshore General Hospital at 7:30pm on Friday.

Earlier on July 27, journalist Rukunuddaullah was admitted to the Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital in Dhaka due to serious illness. He had recently returned to Jeshore after having three rings implanted in his heart.

In recognition of his success in journalism, he has received the IED Award, Jeshore Shilpi Gosthi Padak, Gyan Mela Padak and Bazlur Rahman Smriti Padak.
