Violence in Bogura: Two including teen killed
In separate incidents within two days in Bogura, the body of a teenager has been recovered and a young man has been killed in a stabbing. The deceased are Alif, 16, and Fahim Hasan, 19.
Fahim was critically injured in a stabbing on Saturday morning, February 14, in the Matidali area of the city. He was rescued and admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment around 11:45 am. Fahim was the son of Abdur Rashid from the Matidali Biman Mor area in Sadar upazila.
Relatives of the deceased alleged that a young man named Tanmoy had been harassing Fahim's sister for a long time. Although disputes between the two families had been resolved multiple times over this issue, Tanmoy took the opportunity to stab Fahim on Saturday morning. Family members have demanded the immediate arrest and trial of those involved.
Earlier, on Friday around 11:30 am, police recovered the bloodstained body of teenager Alif from a garage in the Nishindara area of the city. Marks of sharp weapon injuries were found on various parts of his body. Alif was the son of Ripon Shah from Brindabanpara area. He used to work with his father repairing and cleaning cars at that garage. He was staying at the garage on Thursday night. His body was found the next morning.
Bogura Sadar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Mahfuz Alam said no case has been filed yet regarding the Fahim murder; however, a complaint will be submitted soon from the family. Efforts are underway to arrest the accused Tanmoy. The Alif murder case is also being investigated with importance, and multiple police teams are working to identify those involved.
