Wafia Sadika crowned Miss and Mrs Plus Beauty champion

The grand finale of 'Miss and Mrs Plus Beauty Season-3' was held with a grand celebration to honour the confidence, personality and beauty of plus-size women. Wafia Sadika emerged as the champion at the event, held at Guide House on New Bailey Road in the capital on Sunday, July 12.

Jerin Khan was named the first runner-up, while Dalia Sharmin Zui became the second runner-up.

The competition, organised jointly by Star Multimedia and Dance Kingdom, began with 30 contestants. After the preliminary round, 15 made it to the second round, from which the top eight competed in the grand finale. The winners were selected based on performance, personality, confidence, ramp work and overall skills.

The judging panel included renowned actor Mosharraf Karim, Shamim Zaman, actress Achol Akhi, Joy Chowdhury and Star Multimedia proprietor Sohel Afsan. Fashion model and choreographer Adolf Khan performed in a special stage performance.

Sohel Afsan said the aim was to create a respectful and inspiring platform for plus-size women. "Beauty is not just external. Confidence, personality and capability are a person's greatest identity. We want to spread that message through 'Miss and Mrs Plus Beauty'," he said, adding that the initiative would continue on a larger scale.

The organisers said the platform aims to open new possibilities for plus-size women in fashion, media and entertainment.
