We must accept students' verdict: Baker

Abu Baker Mojumdar, vying for the post of general secretary in the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) election, has said that the candidates must accept the verdict given by the students.

He said: "The verdict given by the students must be accepted. This is logical and there is no room for anything else."

He said this in response to questions from journalists at the university's TSC center on Tuesday morning.

Expressing satisfaction with the overall situation of the election, Baker said: "We have enjoyed a joyful atmosphere since the day the election campaign started. Voters have come to vote with interest. We hope that the students will bring a worthy person to the leadership."
