We want Rohingyas to return to Myanmar with dignity: Farooq-e-Azam

Farooq-e-Azam, adviser to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and Liberation War, said, "We want the Rohingyas to return to their country, Myanmar, with dignity as soon as possible."

He made this statement after a coordination meeting with various NGOs, government officials, and law enforcement agencies in Cox's Bazar on Tuesday (September 24).

Farooq-e-Azam also said, "We are not bringing anyone in, they are entering on their own. This is a humanitarian issue. Since registration hasn’t been completed yet, we can’t say how many new people have arrived."

Regarding the security of Cox's Bazar, he added that everyone has been instructed to stay vigilant.

Earlier in the morning, Adviser Farooq-e-Azam visited several Rohingya camps in Ukhia, Cox's Bazar. He also visited hospitals, e-voucher centers, and learning centers run by different organizations.
