Barrister Mir Mohammed Helal Uddin, State Minister for the Ministry of Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs and Land, has called on people from different communities living in the Chattogram Hill Tracts to work together for the country's development. He said they want to build a beautiful nation like a rainbow, made up of the coordination of different communities.

He said this while speaking at a certificate distribution ceremony for individuals who received information technology training, held at Mainee Auditorium in Rangamati town on Sunday. The event was organised by the Chattogram Hill Tracts Development Board.

Mir Mohammed Helal Uddin said each colour of a rainbow is distinct, yet the seven colours together create a wonderfully beautiful rainbow. Similarly, people from different communities living in the Chattogram Hill Tracts can build a prosperous society by working together in unity while retaining their own distinct characteristics.

He said his expectation is that people from all communities in the Chattogram Hill Tracts will come together and make the region more prosperous, expressing hope for building a beautiful nation through mutual cooperation and harmony.

The state minister said the complete development of a nation is not possible through infrastructural development alone. A nation becomes complete and prosperous through human resource development. Training not only creates skilled human resources but also new entrepreneurs.

He called for expanding training opportunities in new fields, placing particular emphasis on making young people skilled through training and creating opportunities for self-employment.

At the event, certificates were handed over to 200 trainees from three hill districts for training in graphics design, web development, audio-video editing and other subjects. Multimedia equipment was also distributed to various educational institutions, and sewing machines were distributed for women's self-employment.

At the event, presided over by Major General (retd) Anup Kumar Chakma, chairman of the Chattogram Hill Tracts Development Board, Vice Chairman Sheikh Saleh Ahammed, Superintendent of Police Md Abdur Rakib, board member (finance) Suman Barua, member (implementation) Zahid Iqbal and other concerned persons spoke.

After the event, the state minister inspected the watch tower adjacent to the children's park in Rangamati town. He later laid the foundation stone for a bridge over Mahaprum canal on the Rangamati-Khagrachhari road and inaugurated a bridge built over the same canal.
