Why has India not pushed back Sheikh Hasina: Rizvi raises question
Senior Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, has questioned why India has not taken action to push back Sheikh Hasina, despite reportedly pushing back others.
Speaking at a program organized by the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad at the National Press Club on Friday, Rizvi alleged that although Sheikh Hasina fled Bangladesh, her conspiracies against the country have not ceased.
“India is pushing back many individuals, so why hasn’t it pushed back Sheikh Hasina?” Rizvi asked.
He accused Sheikh Hasina of attempting to disgrace the entire nation in order to cling to power. “Even after fleeing the country, her plots continue,” he added.
Rizvi also criticized Sheikh Hasina for making contradictory statements from a neighboring country, claiming that she only cares for her family, not the people of Bangladesh.
“If Sheikh Hasina has truly done so much for the country, why did she open a party office in Kolkata? Why did she flee the country?” Rizvi questioned in front of journalists.
He further alleged that the Awami League is operating through this Kolkata office to conduct its activities.
Responding to accusations related to temple vandalism, Rizvi denied BNP’s involvement and blamed Sheikh Hasina’s supporters for orchestrating attacks on temples.
He also claimed that Hindu government employees who support BNP have faced discrimination during Sheikh Hasina’s administration.
Concluding his remarks, Rizvi accused Sheikh Hasina of continuing anti-Bangladesh conspiracies from her Kolkata base.
