Will serve people free of cost if elected: Hasnat Abdullah

Hasnat Abdullah, chief organiser of National Citizen Party, NCP, southern region and candidate of the 11-party alliance for Cumilla-4 constituency, has said he will serve people free of cost for five years if elected.

He made the remarks at a street meeting at Rajamehar Shikdar Bari in Debidwar upazila of Cumilla on January 30.

Addressing voters, Hasnat said they should vote for him selflessly and he would dedicate himself to public service. He alleged that past elected representatives engaged in extortion, tender manipulation, corruption, loan default and money laundering and acquired dual citizenship abroad.

He urged supporters to campaign door to door to ensure victory of Shapla Kali symbol and said candidates do not necessarily need to be present physically to win elections, citing examples of candidates winning from prison.

He also conducted public outreach and street meetings in several villages of Rajamehar union. Leaders and activists of Jamaat and NCP were present at the programmes.
