Will withdraw all cases against Awami League members: Mirza Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that his party will withdraw all cases filed against Awami League leaders and activists.
He said: "We do not want to do politics of revenge. We do not want to file cases like the Awami League. We will withdraw all cases against the Awami League."
He made the comments at a view-exchange meeting at the Shapla Government Primary School ground in Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila on Tuesday (November 11) afternoon.
He said: "Jamaat along with a few parties want to use force to meet their demands. They want a PR-referendum, we do not understand this. We will not accept this."
Regarding the lockdown called by the Awami League, he said: "Don’t do anything crazy again. Apologize to the people. Haven’t apologized yet. They shot and killed young children. We don’t want to do politics of revenge. We want to do politics of peace. That's why we have sought elections."
