Wipro GE Healthcare launches 'Health Express' to bring advanced ultrasound technology to underserved cities

Wipro GE Healthcare has launched a new initiative called 'Health Express' to bring advanced healthcare technology to underserved and relatively remote towns across Bangladesh.

The programme aims to increase the use of modern healthcare technology in tier 3 and 4 cities, familiarise clinicians with advanced technology, and raise awareness about healthcare services. It will feature live demonstrations of modern ultrasound technology, interactive product demos and hands-on training for physicians.

The 'Health Express' journey began in Bogura. The company said the initiative will reach more than 20 districts over the next three months.

As part of the programme, Wipro GE Healthcare's latest ultrasound technologies will be showcased to doctors and healthcare experts in various regions. Additionally, educational sessions will be conducted to help clinicians understand the use and potential of modern technology in diagnosis.

The initiative will also create opportunities for direct discussions with physicians on various healthcare challenges and potential solutions. According to the company, the use of advanced technology helps improve diagnostic accuracy while making clinical workflows simpler and more efficient.

Anup Kumar Ramachandran, Business Head – Ultrasound at Wipro GE Healthcare, said, "We believe quality healthcare is a right, not a privilege."

He said through the 'Health Express' initiative, the company's experts will have the opportunity to work directly with frontline clinicians, making it easier to ensure advanced healthcare in underserved areas.

Ramachandran further said that highlighting the benefits of early diagnosis through modern ultrasound technology and enhancing clinicians' capabilities is one of their key objectives. At the same time, they are working to raise health awareness and make quality healthcare accessible to all.
