Woman accused of seeking sick father’s signature on land document at hospital
A woman has been accused of trying to obtain her ailing father’s signature on a land-related document while he was receiving treatment at a hospital, after a video of the alleged incident went viral on social media.
The video, which began circulating widely on Thursday (September 3), shows an elderly man sitting on a hospital bed while a woman holds a document in front of him and appears to seek his signature. The person recording the video claims the woman is the man’s daughter.
The footage also shows a woman questioning her about why she had brought a land document to the hospital. At one point, she is heard asking the woman to leave the hospital.
The video has since spread across Facebook and other online platforms, prompting criticism from social media users. Many questioned the ethics of seeking a signature from a seriously ill, hospitalised person on a property-related document.
Some users also raised concerns that the man’s condition may have been exploited in an attempt to transfer or acquire his property.
However, the allegations cannot be independently verified from the video alone.
The source of the footage, the hospital where it was recorded, the identities of those involved and the nature of the document shown in the video have not been independently established.
It is therefore unclear whether the document involved any property transfer or other legal transaction.
