Woman dies after scarf caught in generator at Jhenaidah factory

A woman named Shirina Khatun has died after her scarf got caught in a generator machine at a cake-making factory in Kotchandpur, Jhenaidah.

The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, April 6, at the main bus stand area of the upazila.

Shirina Khatun was the wife of Ramzan Ali of Kotchandpur area.

According to police and local sources, Shirina had gone to see the factory and entered inside. Her scarf became entangled in the generator's belt, leaving her critically injured.

Locals rushed her to Kotchandpur Upazila Health Complex, where the duty doctor declared her dead.

Kotchandpur Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Asaduzzaman confirmed the incident. He said the body was handed over to the family as no complaint was filed. An unnatural death case will be registered regarding the incident.
