A woman has given birth to quadruplets—two boys and two girls—at a private hospital in Chattogram, with doctors reporting that both the mother and newborns are now in stable condition.

The babies were delivered via caesarean section on Monday afternoon at Parkview Hospital in the city, though the development was reported a day later.

The delivery was conducted under the supervision of Professor Dr. Muslina Akhter, head of the Gynaecology Department at Chattogram International Medical College, with assistance from Dr. Mili and anaesthesia specialist Dr. Saheli Nargis.

The newborns are currently under observation at the Neonatal and Child Health Department of Chattogram International Medical College, led by Associate Professor Dr. Rokshana Ahmed.

According to doctors, the babies weigh between 1.7 kg and 1.9 kg. One of the infants was placed in the ICU on Wednesday night but has since shown improvement. All four are now in cabin care and under close monitoring.

Medical staff said the condition of both the mother and the newborns has steadily improved since the delivery.
