Cocktail explosions occurred at three separate places in the capital's Shantinagar, Moghbazar and Mouchak areas. The explosions occurred within a few minutes of each other on Thursday (December 18) at 4:15 pm. A female pedestrian was injured in a cocktail explosion thrown from the Mouchak flyover. A senior official of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) traffic department said that the cocktails were thrown from a vehicle moving over the flyover. The injured woman was rescued by members of the traffic department and admitted to a nearby hospital. Police inspected the scene and started an investigation.

রাজধানীর শান্তিনগর, মগবাজার ও মৌচাক এলাকায় পৃথক তিনটি স্থানে ককটেল বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। বৃহস্পতিবার (১৮ ডিসেম্বর) বিকেল সোয়া ৪টার দিকে কয়েক মিনিটের ব্যবধানে এসব বিস্ফোরণ ঘটে। মৌচাক ফ্লাইওভার থেকে ছোড়া একটি ককটেলের বিস্ফোরণে এক নারী পথচারী আহত হন। ঢাকা মহানগর পুলিশের (ডিএমপি) ট্রাফিক বিভাগের এক জ্যেষ্ঠ কর্মকর্তা জানান, ধারনা করা হচ্ছে, ফ্লাইওভারের ওপর দিয়ে চলন্ত কোনো যানবাহন থেকে ককটেলগুলো নিচে ছোড়া হয়েছে। আহত নারীকে ট্রাফিক বিভাগের সদস্যরা উদ্ধার করে কাছের একটি হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করেছেন। পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করেছে এবং তদন্ত শুরু করেছে।
