Woman's body found by expressway in Bhanga

Police have recovered the body of an unidentified woman, around 45, from the service lane of the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur. The body was found in Madhya Brahmanpara village of Azimnagar union at around 8:30 am on Wednesday, February 18.

Locals believe that miscreants killed the woman late on Tuesday night and left her on the side of the highway. When passersby saw the body in the morning, they informed the police, and Bhanga police reached the spot and recovered it.

Police said that the body was recovered at around 10 am and sent to the Faridpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Bhanga police station sub-inspector Md. Mosharraf Hossain said that the deceased woman had injury marks on her neck and hands. It is initially believed that she was strangled to death. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased and legal action is underway in this incident.
