Woman's body recovered from her Gazipur house

Police have recovered the body of a woman with her throat slit from a house in Konabari Nawab Ali Market area of ​​Gazipur city.

Imran Hossain, the husband of the deceased Rahima Begum, 38, was rescued from the same place with serious injuries and admitted to the hospital. The incident took place on Friday midnight.

On Saturday morning, the police took the couple's 16-year-old daughter into custody for questioning.

According to police and locals, the Imran-Rahima couple lived on the fifth floor of the building with their daughter. Imran is a meat seller by profession. Upon receiving information in the morning, the police went to the house and first recovered Rahima's body and after a while, Imran was seen moving with his throat slit. Later, he was quickly sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital.

Konabari Police Station OC Mohammad Salauddin said that the couple's daughter claimed that her father first killed her mother and then tried to slit his throat himself. However, the police do not believe this statement; therefore, the girl is being interrogated in custody.

The OC further said that Rahima's body has been sent to the morgue and legal action is being taken after investigating the entire incident.
