Young couple's hanging bodies recovered in Rangamati

The hanging bodies of a young couple have been recovered in Rangamati's Barkale area.

Police recovered the two bodies from the Bagachhari area of ​​ward number 7 of Bhusanchhara union on Tuesday (April 7) afternoon.

The deceased are--Subhash Kanti Chakma, 27, son of Suresh Kanti Chakma of Kaptai upazila, and Ina Chakma, 26, daughter of Shanti Ranjan Chakma of Bagachhari area of ​​Bhusanchhara union.

According to locals, the deceased were in a love relationship. They wanted to get married with the consent of their families. However, the couple committed suicide when Ina's family did not accept the relationship as Subhash Kanti had got married previously.

Bhusanchhara union administrator Rezaul Karim said that the body recovery was delayed as the spot was inaccessible.

Barkal Police Station OC Mohammad Rafiqul Islam said that a police team went to the spot to verify the situation, and detailed information will be known later.
