Youth found dead on Jatrabari road
Police recovered the bloodied body of a young man from a roadside in the Santek area of Jatrabari on Friday morning (September 11), with a stab wound found on his chest.
The victim was identified as Rabbi, 25.
Family members said Rabbi lived with his wife and child in Shonir Akhra and worked with his father at a fish wholesale market in Jatrabari.
Mohammad Raju Ahmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jatrabari Police Station, said, "The body was recovered from the road in front of a supermarket after receiving information about the incident. It was later sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police have yet to determine who killed Rabbi or establish a motive. A Criminal Investigation Department (CID) crime-scene team has collected evidence from the scene, the officer said.
Police said an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the death and identify those responsible.
