A young man was brutally hacked to death by assailants in Bogura. The deceased was identified as Robin, 27, a resident of Chelopara of Bogura city. The incident took place around 9:30pm in Fulbari area of Bogura Sadar on Sunday (April 5). According to authorities, a dispute over picking fruit from a tree at a local graveyard escalated between Robin and a group of four to five youths. The assailants allegedly lured him to a nearby jungle in Fulbari, where they beat him with sticks and attacked him with sharp weapons, leaving him critically injured. Robin was later found dead there. Ibrahim Ali, officer-in-charge of Bogura Sadar Police, said, "No arrests have been made so far. His body has been sent to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZMC) for post-mortem."

বগুড়ায় এক যুবককে কুপিয়ে হত্যার ঘটনা ঘটেছে। রোববার (৫ এপ্রিল) রাত সাড়ে ৯ টার দিকে সদরের ফুলবাড়ি এলাকায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহতের নাম রবিন (২৭) তিনি বগুড়া শহরের চেলোপাড়া এলাকার বাসিন্দা ছিলেন। পুলিশ ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে, এলাকার একটি কবরস্থানের গাছ থেকে আতাফল পাড়া নিয়ে স্থানীয়দের সঙ্গে রবিনের কথা কাটাকাটি হয়। রাতে চার-পাঁচ যুবক তাকে কবরস্থানের পাশের একটি জঙ্গলে নিয়ে হকিস্টিক দিয়ে পিটিয়ে এবং ধারালো অস্ত্র দিয়ে কুপিয়ে গুরুতর জখম করে ফেলে রেখে যায়। বগুড়া সদর থানার অফিসার্স ইনচার্জ (ওসি) ইব্রাহীম আলী জানান, স্থানীয়রা জানিয়েছেন চেলোপাড়া এলাকায় কবরস্থানের ওপর আতা গাছের ফল পাড়াকে কেন্দ্র করে কয়েকজনের সঙ্গে রবিনের বাকবিতণ্ডা হয়। পরবর্তীতে এ ঘটনার মীমাংসার কথা বলে ফুলবাড়ী এলাকায় রবিনকে ডেকে নিয়ে গিয়ে হত্যা করা হয়েছে। তিনি আরও জানান, এ ঘটনায় এখন পর্যন্ত কাউকে আটক করা হয়নি। ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য লাশ বগুড়া শহীদ জিয়াউর রহমান মেডিকেল কলেজ (শজিমেক) হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
