Youth injured in cocktail explosion in Jashore's Keshabpur

A young man named Jewel Rana, 30, has been injured in a cocktail explosion in Keshabpur, Jashore. The incident occurred around 11am on Saturday in the Moddhyakul Nathpara Mor area of Keshabpur municipality.

The injured Jewel Rana is the son of Khanjahan Ali of the area. Locals rescued him after the explosion and took him to Keshabpur Upazila Health Complex, where he is receiving treatment.

Police and local sources said a loud explosion was heard in the Moddhyakul Nathpara Mor area, injuring Jewel Rana. It is not yet clear whether the cocktail was in his possession at the time of the explosion or if he was trying to place or remove it elsewhere.

Police from Keshabpur Police Station visited the scene after receiving the news. Police are investigating the cause of the explosion and who might be involved.

Keshabpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Roksana Khatun said information has been received that one person was injured in a cocktail explosion at Moddhyakul Nathpara Mor. It is not yet confirmed whether he was carrying the cocktail or trying to place it somewhere. The matter is under investigation.

Police said investigations are ongoing to uncover the exact cause of the incident and identify those involved.
