A young man was shot after being blindfolded by unidentified assailants in Khulna, in what police suspect to be a targeted attack.

The incident took place around 12:00pm in the Sonadanga area of the city on Saturday (April 18).

The victim, Imrul, 30, who worked as a sanitary technician, was later admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 1:30am in critical condition.

According to family members, the attackers arrived on three motorcycles and intercepted Imrul while he was heading to work.
