Youth stabbed to death in Chattogram

A young man was stabbed to death in Chattogram’s Hillview area under Bayezid Bostami Police Station around midnight on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Abdullah Al Monir, also known as Pintu (34).

Monir, who worked as a carpenter, lived with his wife at his father-in-law’s residence. His ancestral home was in Brahmanbaria.

Jamir Uddin, Sub-Inspector of Bayezid Bostami Police Station, said, “Around 12.00am, four to five people stabbed Monir. He was taken to the hospital but died from excessive bleeding. His body bore three to four stab wounds.”

Police suspect the killing was the result of a previous dispute and have launched a drive to arrest those involved.
