Yunus holds bilateral talks with Malaysian PM
Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus met with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday at the Prime Minister’s office in Putrajaya during the second day of his official visit. After the meeting, both leaders participated in a joint press conference.
Dr. Yunus was accorded a red carpet welcome and a guard of honor upon his arrival in Putrajaya. After their private discussion, both leaders addressed a joint press conference.
According to the Chief Adviser’s verified Facebook page, five MoUs and three Notes of Exchange are expected to be signed during the visit. Dr. Yunus will also meet with expatriate Bangladeshis in Malaysia.
The Chief Adviser arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Monday evening aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight. He was welcomed at the airport by Malaysia’s Home Minister, Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Dr. Yunus is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on Wednesday, concluding his three-day state visit.
