Yunus urges US firms to invest more in Bangladesh
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has called on American companies to scale up their investments in Bangladesh.
He made the call on Wednesday while addressing the U.S.-Bangladesh Executive Business Roundtable in New York. The discussion, themed “Advancing Reform, Resilience and Growth,” was organized by the U.S.-Bangladesh Business Council (USBBC).
Yunus urged leading U.S. companies, including MetLife, Chevron and Excelerate, to seize new opportunities in Bangladesh’s growing market.
Following the event, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam told reporters that six Bangladeshi political leaders, who accompanied Yunus on his U.S. visit, also attended the roundtable. They were introduced to top American business leaders during the meeting.
