Zia Shishu Kishor Organisation welcomes Tarique Rahman on his return

Leaders and activists of the Zia Shishu Kishor Organisation were present along the route to welcome BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman as he returned to the country after 17 years.

On Thursday, supporters of the organisation gathered at different points from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to the reception venue at the 300 Feet area in Purbachal, greeting Tarique Rahman with banners, festoons and party flags.

Those present included Shah Alam Reza, president of the organisation’s central committee, Sabbir Ahmed Mintu, general secretary, Nurun Nabi, vice-president, Kamrul Hasan Sumon, president of the Dhaka district unit, along with leaders from Dhaka North and South units.

Leaders said Tarique Rahman’s return marks an emotional and significant moment for democratic politics in Bangladesh, and the organisation warmly welcomed him on behalf of its members.
