Zubaida Rahman heads to US at Melania Trump's invitation
Zubaida Rahman, wife of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, is travelling to the United States at the invitation of US First Lady Melania Trump to attend 'Fostering the Future Together'.
She departed Dhaka on Sunday, March 22, on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight to the US, with a stopover in the United Kingdom.
Spouses of heads of state from various countries are participating in this initiative at the invitation of US First Lady Melania Trump. The main goal of the alliance is safe technology and development in children's education.
Participants at the conference will discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) and other innovative technologies can enhance educational opportunities. Additionally, training for teachers and parents, and creating an improved learning environment while protecting children from online risks will be key topics.
According to White House information, leading technology companies have agreed to provide participating countries access to these technologies at nominal or no cost.
Representatives attending the conference are expected to coordinate with their respective governments to identify and implement the most suitable technologies according to their country's context. Zubaida Rahman is scheduled to return home after the conference programme.
