Zubaida Rahman inaugurates free heart camp in Korail slum

Zubaida Rahman, a heart specialist and the wife of BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman, has inaugurated a 'Free Heart Camp' in Dhaka's Korail slum area. The camp was organised on Monday, February 3, at the Ansar Camp ground in Korail.

The Doctors' Association of Bangladesh, a pro-BNP physicians' group, arranged the camp on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former President Ziaur Rahman. Locals received free medicine and various medical check-ups. Zubaida Rahman spoke with several patients and later visited the Ziaur Rahman Foundation office to listen to and advise local women on various health issues.

The Korail area has around 45,000 voters. BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman recently held a prayer meeting here and assured slum dwellers that if BNP came to power, it would build multi-storey buildings with small flats for them, replacing their shanties.
