11 more die of dengue in a day

Directorate General of Health Services has informed that 11 more people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours in the country. In the same period 2,071 people have been newly admitted to hospital. This information has been given in the notice published by the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday (October 27).

According to the notice, among the newly admitted patients in the previous 24 hours until 8am on Tuesday, there are 899 in Dhaka Division, 97 in Mymensingh Division, 241 in Chattogram Division, 250 in Khulna Division, 229 in Rajshahi Division, 112 in Rangpur Division, 217 in Barishal Division and 26 in Sylhet Division.

According to the information of the Directorate General of Health Services, from the beginning of the current year until Tuesday a total of 1,28,237 people have been admitted to hospital after being infected with dengue in the country. Among them 1,22,422 have received discharge from hospital after completing treatment.

Currently 6,415 dengue patients are under treatment in various hospitals of the country. Besides, a total of 400 people have died after being infected with dengue in the current year.
