11-Party alliance announces date for 2nd long march
The second long march organized by the 11-party alliance led by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will be held on September 19. Dr AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad, assistant secretary general of Jamaat and coordinator of the 11-party alliance, announced the date.
He made the announcement at a press briefing on Sunday (September 13), following an emergency meeting of the liaison committee of the 11-party alliance.
He said participants would gather at Manik Mia Avenue at 7am on September 19. The long march would begin after a one-hour inaugural session, scheduled to end at 8am.
Five roadside rallies will be held along the route. Starting from Manik Mia Avenue, the long march will pass through Gazipur, Tangail, Sirajganj, Bogura and Gaibandha before concluding at the Rangpur District School ground.
