12 kg LPG cylinder price increased by Tk19
The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been increased for consumers once again. For February, the price of a 12 kg cylinder has gone up by Tk19, now set at Tk1,478, effective from 6:00 pm on Sunday.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) made this announcement in a press release on Sunday (February 2).
BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed said, "The price of a 12 kg LPG cylinder for February has been set at Tk1,478, an increase of Tk19 from the previous price of Tk1,459."
LPG prices remained unchanged in January. However, on January 14, the price of a 12 kg cylinder was increased by Tk4, bringing it to Tk1,459.
Additionally, BERC has reduced the price of autogas. For February, the price of autogas has been raised by 89 poisha, with the new price set at Tk67.74 per liter, including VAT.
In January, the price of autogas was reduced by 3 poisha to Tk66.79 per liter. However, on January 14, it was increased by 49 poisha to Tk67.27, and on January 22, it was revised downward by 42 poisha to Tk66.85.
The BERC statement also mentioned that for February, the announced Saudi CP for propane and butane are 635 USD and 625 USD per metric ton, respectively. The average Saudi CP for propane and butane, based on a 35:65 ratio, is set at 628.50 USD per metric ton. This has been taken into account for adjusting the prices of private LPG and autogas for consumers in February.
